Effective October 14, 2026

BogeyBits ("we", "us") makes a golf round tracker for iPhone. This policy explains what we collect, why, and the choices you have.

What we collect

Location

A future version of BogeyBits will show your position on the hole map. When it does, the app will ask for location permission first, use your location only on your device to place you on the map, and will not store a trail of where you have been. You can always decline and keep scoring normally.

How we use it

We use your information to sign you in, save and back up your rounds, show your previous scores and Hole Memories, and keep the service reliable. We do not use it for advertising.

We do not sell your personal information. We do not share it with third parties for their marketing.

Text messages (SMS)

BogeyBits uses text messages only to sign you in. There are no marketing messages.

How you opt in: on the BogeyBits sign-in screen you enter your mobile number and tap to request a code. The screen shows this notice right next to the button:

We'll text you a code to sign in. Msg & data rates may apply. Reply STOP to opt out, HELP for help.

Requesting a code is your consent to receive that sign-in message.

Where your data lives

Your data is stored on your iPhone and in our cloud database hosted on Microsoft Azure in the United States, encrypted in transit and at rest. Sign-in texts are delivered through Azure Communication Services.

Deleting your data

In the app, open Settings and tap Delete account. This permanently deletes your rounds, scores, notes, Hole Memories and phone number from our systems and signs you out on every device. You can also email us to request deletion.

Children

BogeyBits is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect their information.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above, and tell you in the app for any significant change.
